Takeaway from Cambridge Forum

Wembley Dim Sum

We all know about the Shanghai Food court and Chinatown in Northbridge but the smaller Cambridge Forum is what I call a little gem in the way of cheap TASTY Asian cuisine in Perth.

It is located on Cambridge Street next door to the Wembley Hotel. Parking is available and the food court is indoors with plenty of big tables. It is clean and I would say there is a good family environment here too. There is even an indoor playground viewable from the tables.  BYO wine and beer is welcome however no food or other drinks from ‘outside’.

We ordered takeaway dishes from Wembley Dim Sum, Malaysian Hawker and the Japanese stall. There are a few other stalls including Thai, Indian, Singaporean and Carvery (burgers, roast rolls and chips).

Over 40 Dim Sum Styles Available!

Malaysian Hawker

The Dim Sums were actually pretty tasty and fantastic value for $4.80!

Dim Sum – Fried Crab Claws ($4.80)

Dim Sum – Pork and Prawn Dumplings ($4.80)

My Favourite of the night was the Mee Goreng, possibly one of the best prepared Mee Gorengs i have had in a long time. We ordered chillies on the side so that we could savor the strong sauteed BBQ flavour. Unlike other Mee Goreng dishes that i have tried this one had sliced potatoes and finely chopped nuts in it, delicious!

Me Goreng ($10.00)

Bento Boxes are best consumed fresh and not takeaway but neither less the Katsu Bento Box with its piece of apple and orange was filling.

Katsu Chicken Bento Box ($15.00)
